Volleyball

About

Ready to bump, set, and spike your way into some fun? Volleyball is an exciting game where two teams face off across a net, trying to send the ball over and keep it from touching down on their side. It’s fast-paced, full of teamwork, and just as fun to play for the first time as it is for seasoned players.

The Basics:

  • Teams take turns volleying the ball back and forth, with up to three touches allowed before sending it over the net.
  • Keep the ball in bounds and don’t let it hit the floor on your side.
  • Points are scored when the other team can’t return the ball or makes a mistake.
  • Games usually go to 25 points (win by 2).

Where to Play

  • Indoor Courts – Our Community Centers across Racine have great indoor courts, perfect for year-round play no matter the weather.
  • Sand Courts – Want to dig your toes in the sand? Head down to North Beach on beautiful Lake Michigan or check out other outdoor courts in Racine parks.
Nothing beats volleyball with a lake breeze and summer sun!
