The Department of City Development actively works to enhance the community by expanding the tax base, attracting employment opportunities, improving the City’s housing stock and the quality of life for its citizens. Our work is overseen by the Mayor, Common Council, and numerous Boards and Committees that contribute their time to aiding the Department in carrying out our mission. The Department includes the following divisions: Assessing, Building Inspection, Housing, Neighborhood Enhancement, and Planning.
