The Racine Police Department Records Bureau is responsible for maintaining and updating department records and files, such as incident and accident reports. The Records Bureau also collects payments for warrants, traffic, municipal, and parking tickets, towed vehicles and fees for report copies.
Records Requests:
Requests for Records may be made in person, via phone, fax, email, or through the mail.
All records are reviewed by the Records Bureau Supervisor or designee prior to release. If the request is not permissible under the Open Records law, it will be denied. Reports will be redacted if required by law.
Please call the Records Bureau during normal business hours to verify the report is available for release.

When requesting Records, please provide as much of the following information as possible: Type of record requested (written reports, body camera footage, squad camera footage)
The copy cost for an Incident record is $1.35 plus $.25 each additional page. Copy cost for Police reports is $0.25 per page (most requests are less than $5.00).
High volume records customers can choose a quarterly billing option. Please contact the Records Specialist for more information.
